Portraits in Nordic Light The series is based on Scandinavian painting from the turn of the last century. Karlsson Rixon has made replicas using friends from Los Angeles grouped in similar poses. Portraits in Nordic Light explores the genre of portrait as a contribution to history writing and building an identity around the portrayed person. It explores the myth as well as the society´s idea of an artist.
